‘ Monique P. delivered her first baby very quickly. She arrived at the Maternity Ward at 7pm, quite relaxed and able to bear out really well during her contractions.

She said that thanks to her Yoga practice, she was able to feel what was happening in her body and was able to make sense of her contractions.

During the last push, she used a mirror to help control the release of the baby head slowly which meant she did not need an episiotomy and did not tear at all.’

It is possible to experience a gentler birth with minimum intervention. For this, preparation is required. Pelvis floor exercises are so important towards this goal.
